Understand your connection
Check the network, the server and DNS in order, using the information WireFuse already shows.

If nothing connects, first check that Apple TV has internet access without the VPN. If the underlying network is unavailable, changing VPN keys or routes is unlikely to help.
Keep the saved profile. You do not need to delete it as a first troubleshooting step. Note the error message and disconnect before editing settings.
Separate active from verified
| What you see | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| VPN active | The system has started the tunnel |
| Server verified / recent handshake | The peer completed a recent handshake |
| Received and sent data | The VPN counters have recorded traffic |
| The name resolved | The last requested DNS lookup succeeded |
A tunnel can be active before the server answers. Server verification is not a test of every internet destination. These are separate signals, so check them separately.
No recent handshake
Check the endpoint address and UDP port, the server’s availability and firewall, and the peer keys. For AmneziaWG, the protocol options must also agree with the server.
If a provider supplied the profile, ask whether the client is still authorised and whether it needs a fresh export. Do not replace keys with arbitrary values.
The server responds, but names do not
Open Settings → Diagnostics → DNS check while connected. Choosing Check DNS looks up example.com with the current connection.
The result is a one-time lookup; a cached answer may be used. With split DNS, that name may be outside your custom DNS scope. The name resolved does not identify the DNS server and is not a DNS or IPv6 leak test.
Check your selected DNS service’s address and reachability. WireFuse does not deliberately replace a failing custom resolver with system DNS. Tunnel DNS and the server endpoint’s DDNS settings have different jobs; the DNS guide explains them.
Only some destinations fail
Review the profile’s routes and the server’s routing or access restrictions. A home-network address range may conflict with the network Apple TV is currently using. Test a known service at its direct address if network discovery is the only thing missing.
The Live traffic screen shows recent VPN activity, not maximum internet speed. Graph history is not saved.
Collect a useful support report
Open Settings → Support → Local report. Record the app and tvOS versions, protocol, error code and steps that produced the problem. The report is shown locally; it is not sent automatically.
Check any screenshot before sending it. Do not include private keys, passwords, pairing codes or complete VPN configurations. Contact support with the relevant details.
