Your first connection

Before you begin

You need an Apple TV, a working internet connection and a client configuration from your VPN provider or a server you manage. WireFuse supports WireGuard and compatible AmneziaWG profiles. It does not supply VPN servers or a provider subscription.

Ask your provider for a configuration export. An account that works only in the provider’s own app may not be enough. For AmneziaWG, keep the original protocol options with the file.

Add your profile

1. Open Profiles → Add VPN profile on Apple TV.
2. Choose Local profile transfer to send a file or paste configuration text from a phone or computer on the same network. The import guide walks through this step.
3. Review the imported details on TV. Read any validation message before saving.
4. Save the profile, then select it as the profile you want to use.

You can also download a configuration from an HTTPS link or use manual setup. The review step lets you check the profile before adding it to your library.

Connect for the first time

Open Connection and choose Connect. If Apple TV asks for permission to add a VPN configuration, allow it to continue. This is Apple’s system permission; importing a profile alone does not grant it.

WireFuse offers three minutes per connection with all features available. The VPN disconnects when the free time ends. A one-time Lifetime access purchase removes the time limit. You can try your own server before purchasing.

Check the result

The Connection screen separates the VPN state from server verification. VPN active means the system has started the tunnel. A recent peer handshake provides evidence that the peer answered; it does not check every internet service or DNS request.

Look for server verification and recent data activity. If the tunnel is active but the server is not verified, start with connection troubleshooting.

Stop or change a connection

Choose Disconnect before switching profiles or editing connection settings. You can browse profiles while connected. Disconnect also pauses automatic connection until you connect again.

Your saved profile stays in your library. You do not need to delete and import it again just to reconnect.
